Overseas medical, dental and nursing volunteers in Kenya, Africa,
will work with local
staff in
support of Kenyan health care efforts. Generally you will
support the doctors, overseas clinicians and laboratory
technicians in the normal routine of medical work e.g.
taking vital signs, dressing wounds, taking patients history,
minor surgeries, counseling patients, providing assurance
and moral support to patients’ family, disbursing minor
drugs etc.
Qualified international doctor, nurses, and other overseas medical personnel will have opportunities for intensive volunteer medical work in Kenya.
Professional Requirements
All health care volunteers (doctors, nurses, dentists, etc) who wish to be based in hospitals and other medical facilities need proof of training such as practicing license, etc. All medical volunteers and interns need to submit a resume showing relevant skills and training.
Students and Interns
Health care program students, pre-program students, paramedics, etc, are allowed to work as interns and not volunteers. You will need a student ID or some proof of occupation. To read about our medical internships in Kenya, click here.

In addition to Volunteer

of the Language
and Cultural Experience, which must be combined with
another program, all Kenya programs are offered independently
or in combination.

Thursday of every Month; Plan to arrive the day
before.
Airport Arrival Time:
Day prior to starting preferably by 3:00 PM

Carefully
selected Kenyan households provide accommodation and 3
Kenyan meals per day.
Transport to Project:

within walking distance, else bus fare will not
exceed USD 1.30 per day.
Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays.
3 to 6 hours daily.
