Internship with Guatemala Children
Every year in Guatemala, hundreds of children become orphans after the death of their parents. These children are left to fend for themselves on the streets. To survive most of these children resort to stealing while others become objects of prostitution and exploitation.
The International Volunteer Travel partners with orphanages in Guatemala to provide internship services through education and other related services to enhance the lives of the children and also to give them a hope and a future to look forward to.
Interns working in orphanages will assist in health education, teaching English, developing creative talents such as arts and crafts, painting, playing games and other related activities. Other internship work include helping with cooking, doing regular home chores and assisting kids with their homework. Also the orphanage has an infirmary where Guatemala interns with medical or health background can work.
