The
International Volunteer Travel Masai Mara Adventure in Kenya
is an amazing two-week program incorporating almost eight days
of Africa volunteer service, and 3 days of touring breathtaking
sceneries in the Kenya, East Africa. The jungle safari expedition
features world famous Maasai Mara game reserve in the Kenyan
Great Rift Valley. This Great Rift Valley reserve is home to
thousands of wild animals including rhino, buffalo, impala,
waterbuck, lion, elephant, giraffe, Africa Buffalo, zebra, cheetah
and leopard. It is also seasonal home to thousands of wildebeests
that spend about half of the year here and the other half in
neighboring Tanzania's Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

A sample schedule of our International Volunteer Masai Mara Adventure program in Kenya is provided below:
Day
1: Arrival and pick up from the Jomo
Kenyatta International Airport, in Nairobi, Kenya
and transfer to host family home Day 2: Morning: registration and start of orientation. About 4 hours lecture at the home of your host. Topics covered during orientation lecture will include East African culture, history, customs, politics, geography, and necessary health precautions, and various other topics, such as the diversity of Kenyan life. Afternoon is free for exploring rural Kenyan life and getting to know your host family. Day 3: Volunteers leave for project early in the morning after breakfast. Introductions held with project staff, and the host family. Day 3-8: Volunteer or internship work. Volunteers are free to explore the surrounding areas in their free time. Weekends are free. Day
9: End volunteer work. Farewell to the project and
evaluation of the program. Day 10-12: Kenya Masai Mara Wilderness Safari: (3 Days) After about 9 days of work, its time to have fun - overseas volunteers and Africa interns on this program visit the world famous Maasai Mara game reserve. Day 10: Nairobi- Maasai Mara: Depart Nairobi in the morning. Have Picnic lunch en route to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the Kenya Southern Rift Valley. Spend the afternoon and the next day on game drives in Maasai Mara. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. Day 11: Masai Mara: Early breakfast followed by game drives within Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. See all the big five and more. Day 12 Masai Mara - Nairobi: After
breakfast proceed for a game drive in the Mara game
reserve enroute to Nairobi arriving Nairobi late afternoon.Day 13 Free. Program Evaluation: Day 14: End of Adventure Program. Departure for those staying for 2 weeks. Those staying longer proceed to their volunteer abroad project placement. |

Carefully
selected Kenyan households provide accommodation and 3
Kenyan meals per day.
Transport to Project:
projects
within walking distance, else bus fare will not
exceed USD 1.30 per day.
Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays.
3 to 6 hours daily.

Basic Swahili encouraged
