The International Volunteer Travel animal volunteer abroad program
in Kenya
provides
a unique opportunity for volunteers to work with farm animals
abroad. The Africa animal volunteer placement abroad, is a chance
to learn about animals; and veterinary medicine in general and
specifically about care in rural Kenya.
This placement is open to anyone interested in working with farm and domestic animals, practicing and aspiring animal scientists, animal science and veterinary college students, etc.
Duties: Overseas volunteers with animals in Africa assist the resident veterinary surgeon in their many duties including handling animals and animal feeds, diagnosis and treatment of tropical animal diseases, filling and keeping animal records and handling medicines. No prior experience is required. International volunteers should bring gloves, work boots and lab coats.

and Cultural Experience, and the Kenya
Adventure Tours and Holidays program. With exception
of the Language
and Cultural Experience, which must be combined with
another program, all Kenya programs are offered independently

Age Limit:

Volunteer Abroad program.

Thursday of every Month; Plan to arrive the day
before.
Airport Arrival Time:
Day prior to starting preferably by 3:00 PM
Accommodation & Meals:
Carefully
selected Kenyan households provide accommodation and 3
Kenyan meals per day.
Transport to Project:
projects
within walking distance, else bus fare will not
exceed USD 1.30 per day.
Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays.
3 to 6 hours daily.
