Voluntary Work with Kenya Children

East Africa- Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar in Pictures The greatest cause of prevalence of uncared children on the streets of East Africa is poverty. As the HIV/AIDS pandemic takes its toll many kids have been left without parents to take care of them. Such neglected kids have often been taken by other Kenyan families or by Kenyan charitable persons and groups and put up in orphanages. Kenya orphanage operators are often in great need of voluntary work support to supplement their efforts.

International volunteering with orphanages in Kenya involves assisting in preparing meals for the kids, doing the laundry, doing the dishes, playing with and showing love to the children, and doing the many chores that running a children’s home. Overseas voluntary work with children in Kenya also entails helping the African orphans with homework, and teaching the children English, Math, the Sciences and other subjects.

Combination of Programs

In addition to Volunteer placement in Kenya, the International Volunteer Travel also offers opportunities for Internships Abroad in Kenya, the Language and Cultural Experience, and the Kenya Adventure Tours and Holidays program. With exception of the Language and Cultural Experience, which must be combined with another program, all Kenya programs are offered independently or in combination.
