Peru Internship Programs
The International Volunteer Travel offers a range of overseas internship placements and volunteer abroad opportunities to choose from in Peru. You can work in any of the following areas, namely: Teaching; Childrens Orphanage; Medical Care; and HIV/AIDS Awareness and Care.
Internship In Teaching
Teaching interns abroad and gap year overseas students can provide much needed help. In Peru, South America international interns can and teach English as a second language (TESOL) or teach other subjects like math, and Physical Education or the sciences. Teaching abroad voluntary work in Peru also includes helping teachers in the class, reading, grading materials, Talent development, Enhancing clubs and societies. Carpentry, Ceramic, Bakery and Hydrophone.
Internship With Children of Peru
Every year in Peru, hundreds of children become orphans after the death of their parents. These children are left to fend for themselves on the streets. To survive most of these children resort to stealing while others become victims of all manner o abuse.
The International Volunteer Travel partners with orphanages in Peru to provide internship services in a bid to enhance the lives of the children of Peru. International interns will work in orphanages and children homes in areas like health education, teaching English, developing creative talents such as arts and crafts, painting, playing games and other related activities. Other internship work include helping with cooking, doing regular home chores and assisting kids with their homework.
Peru Internship In Health Care
International Volunteer Travel partners with Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) in Peru to offer internship placements at two health centres and medical clinics in Lima and Ventanilla.
Overseas medical interns, will assist and support the doctor or clinician in the normal routine of medical work e.g. taking vital signs, dressing wounds, taking patients history, counselling patients, providing assurance and moral support to patients family, disbursing minor drugs etc. A student ID is required for medical internships in Peru.
HIV and AIDS Awareness Internship
International Volunteer Travel partners with a local organization that provides services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
HIV and AIDS Voluntary Service include Drug treatment; HIV/AIDS care and support; HIV/AIDS intervention; Post-treatment economic intervention. In the post-treatment program, international interns will assist in training and job placements, women and children?s shelter, drop in center for children from affected families; post-treatment training and education.
Spanish Language Requirements
We offer free Spanish lessons for one week. We also offer a one-week Survival Spanish Program with local afternoon tours to major attractions in the city of Lima.

to work is not provided. Local transport costs
