TestimonialsTeaching Volunteer in Tanzania
English is not the first language of Tanzania and many children even in high schools struggle to speak the language. Moreover, there is an acute shortage of teachers of English in local schools.
Your contribution to teach English, as a second language in Tanzania will be highly appreciated and fulfilling to yourself.
Tanzania teaching volunteer work include; helping teachers in the class, reading, making materials, teaching English, arts and crafts, sports, activities and games, and helping kids with homework. You can teach at the nursery, elementary (primary) and secondary school levels.
Adult Literacy Programs
You can also volunteer to teach English to Adults and help the local Adult educators develop programs for adult literacy. You can collect and bring along computers and used and new books on issues of interest to adults such as small-scale farming, small business management, primary health and hygiene, etc for the adult education centers in Tanzania.
Combination of Programs
In addition to Volunteer teaching placement in Tanzania, the International Volunteer Travel also offers opportunities for Internships Abroad in Tanzania, the Language and Cultural Experience, the Tanzania Swahili Study Abroad and Tanzania Adventure Tours and Holidays program.
