This
International Volunteer Travel Adventure Program combines
the Mainland of Tanzania
Beach Holiday program with 6 days Tanzania jungle adventure.
After a few days of volunteer placement you will proceed to
a 6-day jungle safari expedition featuring world famous Lake
Manyara, Olduvai and Serengeti
national Parks in the Great East African Rift Valley. The
next 5 days will find you in Dar es salaam, Tanzania’s
largest costal city and Zanzibar Island in the Indian ocean;
touring and relaxing on the beach. This program can start
either in Moshi or Zanzibar. The sample below assumes program

A sample schedule of our International
Volunteer Travel Best of Tanzania Adventure Program is
provided below:
Day
1: Arrival and pick up from the Zanzibar
International Airport and transfer to host family
or hotel. Day 2: Morning: Registration: Registration to the program followed by bout 2-hour discussion covering topics including orientation to the program, Zanzibar culture, history, customs, politics, do’s and don’ts. Day 3-8: Tanzania Serengeti Wilderness Safari: (6 Days) Day 3: Zanzibar-Moshi: Start out after an early breakfast. Take a boat or ferry from Zanzibar to Dares Salaam then a shuttle bus to Moshi arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a standard hotel. Lunch is not provided. In Tanzania’s greatest Rift Valley wilderness parks adventurous volunteers and overseas interns will encounter over 450 bird species, and numerous species of animals including gazelles; impala; buffalo; wildebeest; the famous tree climbing lion; hyena; baboon; giraffe; hippopotamus, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, zebras, thousands of wildebeests, etc. Day
4: Lake Manyara: After about 9 days of work,
its time to have fun - overseas volunteers and Africa
interns on this program leave Arusha, early morning
and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game
drive. Picnic lunch en-route, dinner and overnight
at Campsite.
Day 5: Olduvai-Serengeti: Depart Lake Manyara for Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge with lots of game viewing en-route. Olduvai is a world famous archaeological site in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the tectonic forces, which created the Great Rift Valley. Evening game drive. If you are lucky you may witness the great Serengeti – Masai Mara wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti campsite. Visit Olduvai Gorge a site of archeological importance - home to some of the earliest ancestors of man. Day 6: Serengeti: A full day of African wilderness experience in the Serengeti. If you are lucky you may witness the great Serengeti – Masai Mara wildebeest migration. Picnic lunch, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti campsite. Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro: After
breakfast game drives in Serengeti national park,
then depart for Ngorongoro via Olduvai, game
viewing along the way. Picnic lunch en-route.

its time to have fun - overseas volunteers and Africa
interns on this program leave Arusha, early morning
and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game

9: Travel to Dar es Salaam International volunteers
and interns travel to and from Dar es Salaam will be
by bus, leaving Arusha in the morning and arriving
in Dar late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at
a standard hotel. Lunch is not provided.
Day
12: Zanzibar Stone Town Tour: Early after
breakfast international volunteers and interns abroad
in Tanzania start out on a two hour ferry or boat ride
to the Island of Zanzibar.
